Apparemment, par contre, les 2 WR undrated que sont Owusu et Nathan Palmer ont plutot brillés, pour l'instant.
Ce qui n'est pas le cas de Aj Jenkins qui est apparu hors de forme

d'autres qui pourraient faire le PS, c'est le NT de stanford Masifilo, le Safety de Stanford Michael thomas, le RB Jewel Hampton ainsi que le WR Brian Tyms.
On va dire que ce sont les "early favorites"

Pour Owusu, il n'y a rien d'étonnant. Déjà à ce qu'il soit là (meilleur receveur de Stanford ces 3 dernières années) mais aussi à ce qu'il performe. La raison pour laquelle il n'a pas été drafté e n'est pas son niveau de jeu mais un gros point d'interrogation sur son physique. En deux ans, il a souffert de trois commotions et a du passer la moitié de la saison passée à regarder ses coéquipiers. Le concernant, si il arrive à rester sain et sauf, je pense qu'il peut avoir une place dans l'effectif. Un peu à l'image de Doug Baldwin (ancien de Stanford aussi)l'an passé avec les Seahawks.

PAUL WULFF has landed in the NFL. The former Washington State head coach told Cougfan.com today that he started his new job this past Monday, joining forces with old foe Jim Harbaugh in San Francisco. Wulff is an offensive assistant with the 49ers, with multiple duties on that side of the ball.

Voilà une nouvelle qui me fait plaisir, heureux de voi Leach arrivait à WSU, j'étais uand même déçu de ne pas voir Wulff avoir une cinquième saison.

Dans tout les cas, je vais finir par apprécier les Niners.

A part ça, ça fait chier. heureusement que le FO a drafté 2 OLB. ça peut donner une chance supplémentaire à Cam Johnson. ce gars était projeté dans le top 100 des joueurs de la draft et même dans le top 50 de certains "experts" et on l'a chopé au 7° tour. on a peut être réalisé un superbe steal..........ou pas

S'il refait une saison comme la précédente (même si sa liste de victimes d'interceptions ne comprend quasiment que des backups) il risque de se balader en FA pour aller trainer ses coups d'épaules à...Washington

That includes first-round draft pick Jenkins. The 49ers signed Moss and drafted Jenkins this offseason after going through 2011 without a deep threat at receiver. In fact, you could argue that the team hasn't had a consistent big-play receiver since Terrell Owens left town.

Moss, of course, is signed for one year. The hope is that Jenkins will be here for the long haul and that he takes careful notes on Moss throughout the season. So far, Jenkins, who has a Randy Moss jersey in his closet at home, can't help but oblige.

"Anything that he does, I'm looking," Jenkins said. "That's running routes, that's getting off press (coverage), that's catching balls, that's eating the right things, that's treatment - everything that he does. As for Jenkins' other mentor, Jerry Rice, the rookie said he has yet to tackle The Hill with the former 49ers receiver. But the two spoke Wednesday and they have plans to get together in the near future to strategize on an offseason regimen.

Jenkins was noticeably winded after the team's rookie minicamp earlier this month, and he acknowledged he's not yet ready for a two-plus mile run that's uphill all of the way. "I want to build myself up before I take that on," Jenkins said.

San Francisco defensive lineman Justin Smith has had a hard time getting over the 49ers’ loss to the Giants in the NFC Championship Game. And he’s channeling the frustration he felt from that loss into an offseason in which he’s working harder than ever.

“My whole life, I’ve never really moped around after a loss or this or that. But this is one that’s burned my ass the longest,” Smith told the San Jose Mercury-News. “I’m just like, ‘Man.’ It makes me that much more hungry.”

Smith was back in the 49ers’ weight room two days after the loss to the Giants, has attended all of the team’s voluntary offseason workouts and has incorporated boxing into his personal workouts. He says he’s motivated by a firm belief that this year’s 49ers have the talent to win the Super Bowl.

“We’re aiming high. But it’s an everyday grind,” Smith said. “It’s going to be tough, but we think we have the pieces in place. As long as we keep our heads down and work hard, I think we have a shot.”

As hard as he’s working, Smith wishes he could go even harder: He called the rules in the new Collective Bargaining Agreement that restrict contact in offseason work “ridiculous.” He wants to hit somebody. And he’ll be fired up to do so when the season starts.

Ca fait plus de 4 mois qu'il rumine cette défaite en playoffs. Quand la saison va commencer, ça va chier pour le premier QB qui sera sur sa route.

Visiblement, le QB Coach recommandé par Brees a fait du bien, les balles ont plus de vélocité et il a l'air d'avoir corrigé son problème sur les passes dans le flat.

Ben Dogra, the agent for San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson, just informed CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco that "There will not be a long-term deal for Dashon."

Therefore, Goldson will have to play under his franchise tag contract for the season and the 49ers cannot negotiate a long-term contract with him until after the final game. He will make $6.212 million in 2012. The 49ers also have the option of placing the franchise tag on Goldson next year, which would pay him 120% of his 2012 franchise contract. That comes out to about $7.45 million.

Last week on Sirius XM NFL radio, Goldson said that he was fine playing under the franchise tag in 2012.

Veterans report to training camp on July 26.

Pas forcement une mauvaise chose. Goldson, c'est un peu le type de gars qui joue une saison sur deux.

Et si L.Davis devient starter, le côté droit de la ligne offensive sera...Davis, Davis et éventuellement Davis (Leonard, Anthony et Vernon donc).
