ça fait 7 mois que ces cons me cassent les oreilles avec la nouvelle défenses, Williamson, Burleson, Travis Taylor, est un bon coach, Randy foutait la merde, etc.

Je l'avais en tete quand j'ai écris cette phrase. Mais c'est pire: ça dure.

Offense :

Culpepper est completement passé a côté de son match !! 3 INTERCEPTIONS et o TD plus que inadmissible.... Il avait l occasion de sauver son match en marquant le TD winner à la fin du match mais à la place il se fait intercepté. D aileurs je comprends pas pourquoi on fait 1 passe en first down alors quil nous reste 3 time out et quon est a 10yds du TD....

Les receveurs si ont peu appeller sa comme sa sont passé inapercu.... Burleson s est fait bouffer part barber et les autre ont été incapable de se sortir les poussent du cul !! Je comprends pas du tout pourquoi on laisse williamson et Koren sur le banc... J espere que se 1er match va faire réfléchir 1 peu Tice ....

La OL c est fait atomisé part les Rice et Mcfarland et Culpepper a constament été sous pression. Tandis que les HB ne savent toujours pas courir !! D'ailleur je fais appel à FASON et dehors Bennet bordel !!

Defense:


La défense contre la course a assez bien tenu pendant tout le match a part la le long run de la fin mais la je pense quils en avaient plus mare contre chose que l offense soit stérile. Bon travail de pat Williams !!

Contre la passe on attendait Clayton mais c est Galloway qui a abusé pendant tout le match nos DBs.... Ques que sa va donner contre les Bengals avec super Chad Johnson ?!?! A noter quand meme 2 interceptions de Smoot et Sharper et le seul TD vient de lui d ailleur....

Pour résumé tout se match, c est peut etre pas si mal quils aient perdu se 1ere match comme sa ils font se faire botter le cul toute la semaine et vont comprendre que rien n est encore acquit !! En espérant aussi que gros TICE va comprendre quil faut faire quelque changement surtout en Offense.... Culpepper va se rattraper contre les bengals tout comme l attaque d ailleurs.... Cest juste 1 erreure de parcours qui était nécessaire pour l'équipe.... GO VIKINGS

2/ pcq Michael Bennett a courru pour la performance historique de -1yds et encore, si nous appliquons à cette théorie le désormais célébrisime théorème "enlever la meilleure course pour voir la vraie perf", nous avons un Michael à -4yds. C'est le courreur le plus rapide de la ligue Michael, faut juste qu'il comprenne dans quel sens courrir

Malgré la piètre performance de l'attaque et tous ses turnovers, ils ne se sont jamais fait larguer au scores. (Sans compter le touchdown de Jermaine Wiggins annulé à cause d'une stupide pénalité.)

Le match d'hier est une erreur de parcours. Un tropezón au moment d'entrer en scène.

Ekrem, il y a eu un match dans la saison, c'est pas la peine de carcher sur les vikings parce que Randy a ete transfere chez les bad boys, je trouve tu en fais vraiment bcp meme si le match est une grande deception.
L'annee derniere quand Moss etait la, on t'entendait pas trop sur les -1 yards de benneett et c'etait quasi pareil.

Les vikings ont fait un mauvais match, culpepper en 1er mais la ligne est aussi a crediter d'un match de merde: pas de trous pour la courses, bcp de pression sur Culpepper.
en plus sur la derniere interception, C'est le veteran Moe williams qui drop la passe, donc bouaif.

2 TD sont aussi annule pour des fautes vikings, sans ca les vikes sont devant et gagnent le match.

Je vois le match en fin de semaine (merci pontel), j'attendrai avant de me prononcer, on verra au bout de 3-4 match si les pbs persistent.

Je fais tout ça pour le bien de l'équipe Fun.
Un minimum d'esprit critique s'impose (meme si avec moi, c'est un maximum) après une telle défaite. Je demande juste qu'on arrete de vivre dans cet angélisme Rafarindien où on se met les mains devant les yeux pour pas voir les problèmes.

On a joué à domicile contre une franchise moyenne de la NFL et on se fait latter. Un point c'est tout.

Quant aux TDs refusés, pose toi la question du pk du comment? N'est ce pas le travail du coach de mettre la pression sur ses joueurs pour pas qu'ils fassent de fautes?

Combien de fautes comises par les joueurs français sous Villepreux/Skrela?? et combien sous Laporte? Si tu menaces les mecs de leur couper les couilles en cas de penalité et d'indiscipline, crois moi, les mecs se tiennent à carreau.

The math seems simple enough: Addition by subtraction of distraction.

Instead, the Vikings went nowhere Sunday in a 24-13 home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, one of the most startling developments of Week 1 in the NFL.

Culpepper failed to lead the Vikings to an offensive touchdown for the first time since Oct. 25, 2001. He went without a touchdown pass for the first time in 22 games.

He threw three interceptions, fumbled twice, had two delay-of-game penalties and finished with a career-low 49.2 passer rating -- all of which raised the question of whether the Vikings would miss Moss more than they expected.

``When things could go bad, it went bad,'' Culpepper told reporters after the game. ``It was almost like a bad episode of `The Twilight Zone.' ''

The Vikings' plan this season was for more balance on offense, and that means more than just spreading the ball to different receivers. Coach Mike Tice and new offensive coordinator Steve Loney said repeatedly that they wanted more emphasis on the run.

But without Moss demanding attention from safeties, Minnesota managed just 26 yards rushing in 16 carries. Since Culpepper had no support from the running game, Tampa Bay could go after the quarterback with impunity, which is one of the Bucs' specialties anyway.

``Early on, Daunte was getting some pressure up the middle,'' Tice said after the game. ``That's why defenses talk about keeping the quarterback off-kilter. It's not so much the sacks all the time as it is the pressure in your face.''

Or, as Culpepper put it: ``Our offense is very rhythmic, and Tampa did a great job of getting us out of rhythm.''

It was the Vikings' worst offensive performance since Tice took over in 2002.

Would things have been different with Moss around? Despite Moss' injury-shortened season a year ago, 13 of his 49 catches went for touchdowns.

Eight of them came from within the 5-yard line, where Culpepper could simply loft the ball into the end zone knowing Moss would wrest it from anything less than a tyrannosaurus.

Who will provide that safety valve now? Even Moss is curious. After a Raiders exhibition game, he was asked how his former teammates would fare now that the Randy Ratio had been reduced to zero.

``To be honest, I really don't know how the Vikings will do,'' Moss said. ``I would really like to see how they handle me not being there because there was a lot of pressure put on me to go out week in and week out and do certain things.

``It will be interesting to watch because I know those guys personally. I know they can make plays. If I watch them not succeed, it'll probably make me mad inside because I know they can be good.''

Nate Burleson, who had 68 catches for 1,006 yards and nine touchdowns last season, inherited the No. 1 receiver role. But cornerback Ronde Barber was able to contain him Sunday with the one-on-one coverage Moss rarely saw, holding Burleson to three catches for 45 yards.

Troy Williamson, the seventh overall pick in the draft, went without a catch. Williamson, who has 4.34 speed, will be counted on to run past defensive backs the way Moss did so many times.

So far, no good. The combined receiving yards for Burleson, Williamson, Travis Taylor and Koren Robinson on Sunday: 105.

Moss' receiving yards in his Raiders debut Thursday: 130.

Whatever Minnesota lost on offense is expected to be made up on defense. The team put the $42 million owed Moss toward the acquisitions of safety Darren Sharper, cornerback Fred Smoot, nose tackle Pat Williams and linebackers Napoleon Harris and Sam Cowart.

They proved their value in the first half against Tampa Bay: Sharper returned an interception 88 yards for a touchdown, Smoot had an interception and Williams a sack.

``There will be some things, believe it or not, when we look at the tape that will be encouraging,'' Tice said.

That tape also better reveal some clues as to how to unleash the offense. Otherwise, Vikings fans will want to rewind back to the days of Randy Moss.

Bon apres avoir matter le match des vikings, Merci Pontel, jvous donne mon appreciation....

Alors l attaque a vraiment coulé !! La OL c est vraiment troué pendant presque tout le match et n a pas su ouvrir de trou pour les HB !! Culpepper a eu beaucoup de pression pendnant tout le match et les receveurs ont fait pas mal de drops aussi.... Mais Culpepper nous a quand meme sorti 1 match plus que merdeux et la pression defensive n excuse rien !! Enfin bref il manquait les automatismes surtout dans se match pour l attaque....


La defense a bien joue!! Pendant tout le match on voit quils ont la niaque !! Le petit bémol du match c est la longue course de Williams a la fin mais bon on va pas trop leur en tenir compte.... Sharper a fait 1 enorme match et c est offert 1 - 2 big hits !! Pat williams a aussi fait 1 gros match !! Les LB ont ete soudé pendnant tout le match et ont livré 1 bonne performance, Newman sort quand meme du lot.... Il a fait 1 excellent debut de match !!

Pour conclure la defense est vraiment bonne cette annee et pour l attaque on peut expliquer leur mauvaise performance en disant que c etait la pression du 1er match et quelle manquait de rodage.... Les vikings vont bien se reprendre des se week contre les bengals....

Call it separation anxiety
After Moss, a struggle

Game No. 1 without Randy Moss was a struggle, to say the least, for the Minnesota Vikings.

An offense that averaged nearly 400 yards per game last season managed just 248 yards and two field goals in a 24-13 season-opening loss at home against Tampa Bay. Quarterback Daunte Culpepper threw three interceptions and fumbled the ball away two more times in the loss.

The Bengals don't believe they'll see that Culpepper or that Minnesota offense this Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium. The Vikings don't expect a repeat performance, but the problems they faced against Tampa Bay have head coach Mike Tice realizing there was more to their struggle than just playing without Moss, one of the NFL's premier wide receivers and prominent misfits the past seven seasons.

"Have you got an hour?" said Tice when asked what happened against Tampa Bay.

The Vikings traded Moss, his 574 career receptions, 9,124 receiving yards and 90 touchdown catches, last March to Oakland for linebacker Napoleon Harris, a first round draft choice and a seventh round pick. Minnesota used the first round pick on wide receiver Troy Williamson, a possible replacement for Moss in the speed department but far from being the polished receiver Moss has been at any time in his career.

The Vikings were able to use salary cap space created by Moss' departure to sign veteran defensive free agents Pat Williams, Fred Smoot and Darren Sharper. They added another veteran in linebacker Sam Cowart in a trade with the New York Jets.

They freed themselves from the saga that was Moss, an immense talent whose relationship with the team frayed over time until there was a mutual wish for separation. How long it will take Minnesota to get over that separation remains to be seen.

It's not just the offensive production Moss provided but what his presence meant for opposing defenses. Moss is a player who has to be accounted for on every play. Even though a hamstring injury limited him for five games last season, he still caught 13 touchdowns out of his 49 receptions.

The absence of Moss frees teams from the burden of always having to protect against the threat of him catching deep passes against them. Tight end Jermaine Wiggins had 71 receptions last season to become the first player other than Moss to lead Minnesota in catches since Cris Carter did 2000. Nate Burleson had 1,006 yards receiving and nine touchdowns picking up the slack caused by Moss' injury.

Neither of them worries a defensive coordinator like Moss. Few players can.

"He was a great mentor to me and I learned a lot from him," said Burleson, who had three catches for 45 yards against Tampa Bay. "I had such a luxury of playing with him, learning from him and absorbing some of the things he's picked up through the years in the league. I guess teams and players have to part ways after a while but we really don't know who got the better end of the deal until the season ends."

The Vikings ran just 16 times against Tampa Bay for 26 yards. They have been one of the better rushing teams in the league the last few seasons but Michael Bennett and Moe Williams managed just 14 yards on 12 carries. Bennett is a threat coming out of the backfield but his three receptions accounted for just 21 yards.

Minnesota starts a rookie at right guard in Marcus Johnson and a career backup at center in Cory Withrow. The Vikings lost four-time Pro Bowl center Matt Birk for the season when he recently underwent hip surgery and was placed in injured reserve.

"We haven't been able to run the ball fantastically all preseason and last Sunday was not much better," said Tice. "It'd be like you guys losing your right tackle (Willie Anderson). Anytime you have a great player and he's not part of your rhythm or your team it takes a little more than one guy to make up for that. Sometimes you have to scheme some things and sometimes that backup's got to step up and be better than he ever has been."

All of which puts more pressure on Culpepper to excel. A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Culpepper hasn't had as statistically as poor of game as he did against Tampa Bay since a loss in the NFC championship game in January 2001. Culpepper led the NFC with a 110.9 passer rating last season and his rating dipped below 80 in a game just six times in the last two seasons but he managed a rating of just 49.2 against the Buccaneers.

A week after a poor outing in a 28-18 loss at Oakland in 2003, Culpepper rebounded to lead Minnesota to a 10-point win against Detroit. Last season, he followed up a less than stellar performance against the New York Giants with games at Indianapolis and Green Bay that produced five touchdowns and no interceptions, if not wins.
